Aim & Scope

The International Journal of Manpower (IJM) is a full refereed, double-blind interdisciplinary journal, concerned with the utilization, management and planning of human resources and the economics of labour markets, from a corporate, local, national and international perspective. The journal provides a forum for innovative thinking and the publication of important research findings, advancing knowledge in the field. It also publishes articles which have implications or relevance to policy makers and practitioners in relevant fields. The field of human resource planning and labour economics is a complex one, influenced by the many social, technological and economic changes evident in the world today. The journal is an invaluable support to academics and researchers in the field, and to all those charged with setting policies and strategies relating to workforce issues. The journal focusses on strongly empirical/analytical quantitative research. It regularly publishes guest-edited special issues of themes of contemporary importance.
