Journal Hábitat y Sociedad

Aim & Scope

Habitat and Society is a university journal of scientific nature, with international arbitration, annually, aimed at the dissemination of articles that contribute to an understanding of social habitat. We understand the habitat as a complex concept that is generated by the dynamic interaction of physical, social, cultural, economic, legal and political situations, in scales that go from housing to territory. This publication aims to contribute to a better understanding and management of the complexity of the relationship between society, human habitat, landscape and nature. To this end, the creation of multidisciplinary perspectives is promoted in order to build inter and trans disciplinary knowledge. The editorial team of the magazine shares, and wants to promote with this publication, the complex perspective of the functions of the University as an interaction between knowledge construction, education and social transformation oriented towards the achievement of the common good. In this sense, articles that are the result of research projects, training experiences and experiences of transformative action on the habitat will be included. The magazine is structured in three content blocks. In the first section, the articles that conceptually develop the monographic theme appear. The second section, Miscelánea, is open to contributions that develop content specific to the general theme of the journal. The articles received in these two sections are subject to peer review following the double blind system. The third section, LED (Readings, Events and Debates) is composed of short articles that account for the appearance of new bibliographical references, results of congresses, meetings and debates. Articles are admitted for publication in Spanish, English and other Romance languages. These articles are reviewed directly by the editor of the magazine. [1]
