Journal Women's Policy Journal of Harvard

Aim & Scope

The Women’s Policy Journal is a student-run, nonpartisan review dedicated to publishing interdisciplinary work on policy making and politics affecting women. Established in 2001, WPJ published ten volumes before entering a 5-year hiatus in 2013. In 2017, the journal was revived by a group of passionate Harvard Kennedy School student editors dedicated to reigniting the battle for gender equality. Our mission is to: Strive for improvements in the quality of public policies affecting women with the intention of furthering economic, social, and political empowerment Lift up the voices of women in all intersections of race, class, sexual orientation, and non-binary identity Highlight the accomplishments of women leaders around the world, celebrate their achievements, and address what challenges remain Advance progress towards gender equality in all places and communities Through our work here at WPJ, we hope to cultivate an engaged and inspired community of feminists in pursuit of equality. We strive to publish intersectional work to spark dialogue and debate. It is our greatest hope that the contributions of WPJ can move the needle forward in the national conversation about addressing widespread gender-based discrimination. We look forward to playing a part in the continued progress for equality. [1]
