Aim & Scope
Journal of Poetry Therapy sponsored by the National Association for Poetry Therapy explores the use of poetics as a psychotherapeutic modality in health mental health education and related human service settings. This quarterly journal publishes original high-quality articles that focus on the appreciation and strategic use of language in therapy; poetic approaches involving metaphor and imagery; the use of published poems and lyrics; creative writing narrative and storytelling. Theoretical historical clinical descriptive and evaluative studies are also emphasized. [1]
