Aim & Scope
Established in 1994, Early Medieval China is the world's only journal dedicated to the transformative Six Dynasties period, roughly between the end of the Han and beginning of the Tang eras. Newly designed in 2009, this interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal explores all aspects of Chinese history, literature, society and material culture of the years 220-589 A.D. However, boundaries in historical time are rarely abrupt or sharp, so the journal's coverage is occasionally extended in either direction. [1]
