The journal encourages articles that cover biological, chemical, clinical, or environmental health aspects of the toxic response and the mechanisms involved. The journal's scope includes the following: Biomarkers of toxicity; Biotransformation and transporters; Carcinogenicity and genotoxicity; Clinical toxicology; Computational modelling, predictive toxicology and artificial intelligence; Environmental health; Exposure assessment; Food toxicology; Hazard identification and characterisation; Nanotoxicology and advanced materials; Natural product toxicology; Organ-specific toxicology; Risk assessment and communication; Systems and integrative toxicology including adverse outcome pathways; Toxicology Research considers neither studies on ecotoxicology nor those that focus only on toxic contaminants without discussion of toxic effects at a molecular level.
