Aim & Scope

Meteorology Hydrology and Water Management addresses researchers and a wide range of users with a special emphasis on national and regional meteorological and hydrological services responsible for integrated water-resources management and protecting society, economy and environment against weather, climate and water-related hazards. In early 2012, an English-language journal namely Meteorology Hydrology and Water Management – Research and Operational Application was established. It is a peer-reviewed open access journal. No fees for publication or accessing the articles is required. The journal is published twice a year. The so called early birds/ahead of prints are constantly updated. The Journal addresses researchers and a wide range of users with a special emphasis on national and regional meteorological and hydrological services responsible for integrated water-resources management and protecting society, economy and environment against weather, climate and water-related hazards. The international influence both of water management and meteorological, climatologic and hydrological hazards makes one to internalize efforts concerning the conduct of scientific research, transfer of knowledge and dissemination of good practices. The aim of the Journal is to promote at an international level the results of the activities of research and development as well as benefits which can be derived from the transfer of knowledge into operational use. Furthermore, it is to focus on the decision-making concerning meteorology, hydrology and water management. The unique role of the Journal is to provide an interdisciplinary platform exploring the needs, problems and expectations of the services responsible for meteorological and hydrological protection whereas on the other hand it is to present new theoretical insights, new directions as well as real-world case studies illustrating the practical implementations from research and development institutes. ^[1]
