Aim & Scope
The Journal of Aging and Environment is an interdisciplinary forum for original empirical and theoretical research in environmental gerontology conducted in design disciplines (e.g., architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, interior design), social and health sciences. We publish high quality research that provides empirical evidence and informs policy and practice in development of appropriate and suitable environments for older adults. This journal’s articles are useful for scholars, researchers, policymakers, design professionals, developers and the general public in understanding the interrelationship between older adults and the built and natural environments. We publish research on a range of settings including home environment, housing, neighbourhood, public spaces and healthcare settings. [1]
